Muscat
City Ride
15 December 2005
Cool evenings in my beautiful Oman
It was a beautiful day to go for small ride around the city as the
weather was just perfect and as all the bikers accumulated at the
Honda Showroom, it was quite simple that everybody just wanted to
enjoy the breeze on their 2 wheel machines that day.
We fixed departure at 4.30 pm and from the Honda Showroom we head
straight to the Wadi Adai Petrol Station to fuel up. From there own
all the bikers head out towards the Shereton in Ruwi and from there
took a right towards Al Wadi Al Kabir. It was a scene where all the
people stopped to look as we passed by.
After Wadi Kabir we head towards Bar Al Jissa which is a newly
constructed road of long straights, ups downs and high speed bends.
Well the bikers on the sport bikes couldn’t resist heading in the
front to enjoy these curves while the cruisers stayed back and
followed. Once we took the round from Bar Al Jissa we came back to
join the main road again to head back towards Al Bustan and through
Sidab village where eyes stuck glued to the road as we passed by.
From Muscat we head out towards Corniche where we made our first
stop near Al Inshirah Hotel. Over here we stopped for a while to
chat and stretch ourselves to head on to JAS Complex via the Qurum
Beach.
Once we reached the Complex we enjoyed the Muscat Singers singing
Christmas carols while hot coffee was served courtesy JAS Complex.
Once everybody got rid of the chill in their bones with the coffee
a small snap was taken at the Santas Hut with Santa Clause and the
bikers. And thus came to an end the Muscat City ride.
