JAS Complex to Yitti
On the long winding road....
Bike aficionados in the Sultanate get together on August 5,
2005 for a Friday outing to Yitti
When
an event is scheduled for 8am on a Friday, one can’t be sure how
many people would turn up enthusiastically, let alone turn up at
all. But there was no dearth of keen motorcycle aficionados when
Bikers Oman got together for a winding ride from the Jawharat
A’Shatti Complex to Yitti beach on August 5. Intruders and Viragos
rubbed shoulders with Dyna Wide Glides, making for a rev display
of note, even as the bike owners swapped tips over a quick round
of coffee.
The
journey, which started soon enough, didn’t see too much by way of
wheelies or other stunts. This trip was just about a cool ride on
a hot morning. The curvy heights and roads leading to Yitti were
what made it enjoyable. Not to forget sharing road space with a
mutual interest group.
Soon after the group got to Yitti, members of the Harley Davidson
Owners Group made a quick pitstop to meet their fellow bikers. The
heat was really on by this time. Which meant that the group,
having freshened up at the tiny cold store at the beach, got on
its way to their starting point.
